Our Is’ness-es represent our best friends or our nemeses and typically both at the same time. The co-existence of the positives and negatives generate internal conflicts and contribute to our challenges. These inescapable “is’ness-es” are absolutely the result of our words and thoughts, and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Remember that the energy of our words and thoughts equate to the most powerful energy in the Universe; and thoughts become things.

Of course there are times when frustrations and boredom overtake us and the need to complain or vent is justifiable and can be a valuable way to process it and let it go. So go ahead! Indulge and let a little steam off! Then take a few deep breaths and begin to think about how frequently you find yourself there. Perhaps it is anger or a feeling of defeat. What “Is’ness-es” have you adopted that prevent you from enjoying life to the fullest?

Let’s get to the heart of the matter with a few exploratory questions:

  1. What things do you accept matter-of-factly as what “Is” even when they represent obstacles or perhaps “reasons” why goals are unachievable or life isn’t more enjoyable?

  2. What negative or limiting phrases do you find yourself saying – even if in a joking manner?

  3. What negative self-talk or thoughts visit frequently or periodically?

Make a list of the ones that immediately come to mind, and choose to raise your level of self-awareness. Pay closer attention to what you find yourself thinking and saying. As you identify new negative “Is’ness-es” add them to the list. Similar to working with Personal Peace Process, systematically you can transform the energy of the negatives to positives. Always apply patience and persistence, remembering the importance of being kind and gentle with you.

To help you get started, here are a couple of EFT examples to help you get started. As always, change words to what resonates best. Replace the word “Is’ness” with the specific “Is’ness” or hold the specific in mind. Add specifics as they come to mind, and when you are reminded of specific events or individuals related to the origin, please tap on those as well to help you get closer to contributing factors.


Even though I have accepted this “Is’ness” as the way things are, I choose to be open to the possibility that I am adopting a more empowering “Is’ness” now.

Even though I somehow got tricked into believing that this simply is what “IS”, I choose to transform it now.

Even though at least a part of me may have taken this on without realizing it, the wiser part of me know I have the power to transform it now.


It’s just what “is”

Can’t imagine it being different

It’s with me all the time

Running the show

Even when I don’t realize it

It is running in the background

But the wiser part of me knows

It’s time to change

The wiser part of me knows

I have the power and the know how

To change it now.

Can’t imagine it

But choose to allow it

Ready for the change

Choosing to own my power

Choosing to enjoy life more NOW!


Even though this doubt never seems to leave me and I’m not sure how or why it began, I am thanking my subconscious mind for working with me to let it go now!


This doubt that’s constantly with me

When not consciously

Still in the back of my mind

Don’t have a clue where it came from

And it really doesn’t matter

I am ready to let it go now

Ready to replace this doubt

With calm confidence!

This doubt that slows me down

This part of me that has taken this on

That believes this is just what “IS”

I am ready to let it go now

This “is’ness” business that seems to run the show

It must have served me somehow

But in this moment

I choose a more empowering “is’ness”

Remember to note who and what comes to mind. If it had no relevance, it wouldn’t have made itself known. Make use of it to get to the core issues.
